Day 1: Hanoi Arrival –  Evening City Tour

Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam!

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be met by our driver (no guide) and transferred to your hotel. Check-in will be as per the hotel’s standard check-in time.

In the afternoon, begin your city tour with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including:

  • Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside view only, as it is closed on Mondays, Fridays, and all afternoons)
  • Presidential Palace
  • Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House
  • One Pillar Pagoda

Next, visit Hanoi’s famous Train Street to witness the unique sight of a train passing through a narrow residential lane. You may enjoy a coffee at a local café here at your own expense.

Continue with a walking tour of the Old Quarter, where you will explore bustling streets, traditional shops, and charming colonial-era architecture. The tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi – Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu – Cycling – Trang An)

Breakfast at the hotel
Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Ninh Binh Province, located approximately 120 km south of Hanoi. After a short break en route, your first stop will be Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam.

Here, learn about Vietnam’s early history and the relocation of the capital to Hanoi. Visit the temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the first and second emperors of ancient Vietnam. Built in the 17th century, these temples offer insight into the country’s rich cultural heritage.

Next, enjoy a 45-minute cycling tour through the village, providing an authentic glimpse into local rural life.

A buffet lunch featuring local Vietnamese dishes will be served at a nearby restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014 and a filming location for Kong: Skull Island (2016). Embark on a scenic boat ride through the spectacular cave system, passing through Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Nau Ruou Cave, and along the tranquil emerald-green river.

After the tour, return to Hanoi and transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay – Overnight Cruise

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Ha Long Bay by the cruise’s shuttle bus.

Upon arrival, board your cruise and begin sailing through the breathtaking seascape of Ha Long Bay while enjoying lunch on board. Ha Long Bay, meaning “Descending Dragon Bay,” is steeped in legend and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It features nearly 2,000 limestone karst islands spread across 1,553 square kilometers, with a geological history dating back over 500 million years.

After lunch, join a guided visit to a grotto, where you can admire impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations. Continue to a nearby island, where you may relax on the beach or hike to a viewpoint for panoramic views of the bay.

As evening approaches, return to the cruise to relax and enjoy the stunning sunset views. Participate in an onboard cooking class to learn how to prepare traditional Vietnamese dishes, followed by a delicious dinner featuring local specialties.

Optional evening activities include squid fishing.
